High expectations; trying too hard

Your experience of mindfulness meditation can be different every time you practice. Sometimes your experience will be calm and insightful and sometimes it will be full of distraction and difficulty. Remember there is no success or failure when it comes to mindfulness meditation. Notions of right and wrong are judgments that will only take you away from your experience of the moment now. Take a deep breath and give yourself permission to be just as you are. Accept your experience just as it is and do not give yourself a hard time with notions of how perfect or different your experience should be.
